The business of Keith Prowse was formed in 1780 in the City of London. Keith Prowse developed the philosophy of Theatre Tickets in the 1780’s, a time when London Theatre was flourishing. Robert Keith and William Prowse were musical instrument makers, music sellers and publishers. The earliest reference to selling tickets was in an article in the “Morning Chronicle” in 1786, which refers to “The New System of Ticket Agents”. The Keith Prowse business of selling tickets can be firmly traced back to as early as 1815.

For more than 200 years, Keith Prowse has been associated with the sale of tickets to Theatre, Sports Events, Concerts and Special Events. The Company has represented the Wimbledon Championships since 1924 and facilitated ticket sales for Ascot since 1886. Keith Prowse has been involved with the Chelsea Flower Show and the Open Golf Championships since their inception.

Since the 1960’s, Keith Prowse has been involved in packaging theatre and other tickets with hotel accommodation and travel arrangements within the United Kingdom, as well as Inbound to the United Kingdom. In 1981, the Company opened its first office outside the UK when Keith Prowse New York was established.

Keith Prowse Attraction Tickets is also an authorised Ticket Company for the world’s great Entertainment Attractions including Walt Disney Parks and the world’s great Entertainment Attractions including London’s West End and New York’s Broadway, American Sports such as the NFL, NBA, NHL and many other international entertainment venues.

Keith Prowse Tickets, a trading name of Seatem Theatre, Sport and Concert Tickets (UK) Ltd, with payment handling provided by Seatem Europe Ltd, is part of the Seatem Group of companies. As the UK's largest independent ticket agency, Keith Prowse Ticketing sell some 2 million tickets per annum to theatre, sport, rock and pop, classical music, festivals and other events. Through its Applause brand it is the largest selling entity to the Groups and Inbound Tourist Market in the UK with supply relationships with every major tour operator around the world and all major group and coach operators in the UK. For over 200 years Keith Prowse have been the largest seller of entertainment tickets in the World, and now have offices in over 30 countries around the World.

Seatem Group was formed in 1994 as a holding company with the objective of developing an international travel group offering tickets and ticket-inclusive packages in the major markets of the world.

The objective of the Seatem Group is to represent entertainment events ranging from Opera and Music to theatre and sport to theme parks and attractions in a wide range of countries.

Seatem Group Limited acquired the business of Keith Prowse International in October 1994, the business if Institut Fur Bildungsreisen / International Festival Bureau (IFB) and Choir Contact International (CCI) in February 1997 and the businesses of Global Tickets in November 1997 and First Call Group (including Space Time Systems, First Call, First Call Interactive and Applause). The businesses of Global Tickets and First Call are now incorporated into Keith Prowse Ticketing.

All these companies are now subsidiaries of Seatem Group.
