Depart Rome and travel through the beautiful countryside of Latium, Umbria and Tuscany to Florence. Visit the Bargello, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell-tower and Baptistery, and the Academy with the beautiful statue of David by Michelangelo. Enjoy lunch at a typical Italian restaurant (included), and then visit Piazza Santa Croce for shopping. The tour continues to Piazzale Michelangelo from where a spectacular view of the Renaissance City can be seen, including the Ponte Vecchio.

The itinerary is as follows:
  • Pick-up from hotel and transfer to bus terminal to begin the tour

  • After leaving the agency the tour will cross the city and take the Autostrada del Sole, northbound (major Italian Highway). During the trip some of the most beautiful Italian regions will be crossed including Lazio, Umbria and Toscana.
  • Arrival in Florence will be at approx 11.30am. The tour of the city will include the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto’s Bell-tower and Babtistry, the Academy of Michaelangelo’s David (visit), della Signoria’s Square and Palace.
    • Lunch in a typical restaurant will follow.
  • In the afternoon the tour will proceed to Piazza Santa Croce where guests will have free time at their disposal.
  • The drive continues to Piazzale Michaelangelo from where a magnificent view of this Renaissance city can be admired including Ponte Vecchio.
  • Departure for Rome will be at approx 5.00pm with a scheduled arrival at 8.30pm traffic permitting.
    Clients will be accompanied back to their hotel, or in the immediate vicinity.

(The Price includes transportation in a Deluxe Coach with air conditioning and a tour guide, lunch, entrance tickets and assistance of the Appian Line qualified personnel. Beverages and extras are excluded.)

You will need to bring your tour voucher to present when you arrive at your destination. You must take the voucher along on your trip; it is your proof of purchase. You must call the tour operator in Rome at least one day prior to your departure to reserve/confirm a specific tour date and to confirm your pick-up information and time; the phone number appears on your voucher (+39 06 48786604). On the day of your tour, the voucher may be redeemed for actual tour tickets at the Appian Line Bus Terminal before your tour can begin, or you may present your voucher to the driver at the time of your pick-up.

Hotel pick-up is available for hotels in central Rome. The exact time of your hotel pick-up will depend on the location of your hotel and may be some time earlier than the scheduled departure time.

You may join the tours at the terminal in Piazza dell'Esquilino 6, or use the complimentary courtesy hotel pick-up service.
