Ancud & Pinguineras - Chiloe Island

Beginning in Puerto Varas, we will take route 5 south to the town of Pargua. Here board a ferry and cross the Chacao channel to enter Chiloe Island.

At Ancud we will visit Fort San Antonio, the regional museum, municipal market and Huaihuen hill. After a 30 minute drive, we will visit Puñihuil (subject to road conditions). This is the only place in the area where a large colony of Magallan and Humboldt penguins can be seen.
