Ottoman Relics

On this half-day afternoon tour, you will visit Topkapi Palace*, imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans in which the treasury, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy and more are exhibited (Harem section is not included in the program and is due to extra entry).

You will also see the Suleymaniye Mosque, masterpiece of Sinan, court architect of the Ottoman Empire. It was built in the name of Suleiman The Magnificent during the 16th century and is considered among the best of all the imperial mosques.

Note: Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. It is replaced with the Kariye (Chora) Museum.

The Canal Bus runs 365 days a year from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. In July and August it runs from 10:00am to 8:00pm. During the winter season boats depart approximately every 40 minutes. During the summer season boats depart approximately every 20 minutes.

The Canal Bus does not run on December 25 or January 1 until 12 p.m. (noon).

There will be no tours on Queens Day, April 30, 2009.
