Cebu City Rediscovery Tour

Fall in love with Cebu and its surrounding areas as you learn about its history, discover its unique charm and friendly people.

Our tour begins in the heart of downtown Cebu with a visit to the Basilica Minore de Sto. Nino. The original church was built in 1565 but was burned in a 1628 fire. The present church, built between 1735 and 1737, houses what is believed to be the most famous Christian relic in the Philippines - the Sto. Nino (Infant Jesus).

Beside the church is Magellans Cross with its beautifully painted chapel ceiling. The ceiling depicts a scene from Magellans landing at Cebu in 1521 and the planting of the original cross on the shore (ushering in 400 years of Spanish colonial rule).

Next we will stop at Fort San Pedro, a fort the Spaniards built to protect the city against sea invasion and the Casa Gorordo Museum - a stone-house converted into a museum. Casa Gorordo Museum houses some unique household furniture and artifacts used by the local people during the Spanish period. Proceeding to Beverly Hills we will enjoy a scenic view of the city from the Taoist Temple, one of the largest and best-kept of its kind in the Philippines.
