    • The day begins with a pick-up from your lodging between 6 and 7 am and heading east across the Bay Bridge offering great views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and Fisherman's Wharf.

    We stop for a quick breakfast in the Central Valley. Famous for its rich volcanic soil, the Central Valley is a booming agricultural region known for almonds, grapes, tomatoes, peaches and strawberries. After breakfast we continue our journey up through the cattle and horse ranching foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains to the American River.

    The Class III whitewater action begins immediately with Meatgrinder rapids, followed by other exciting cascades including Racehorse Bend, Rock Garden, Triple Threat and climaxed by a mad dash through the famed Troublemaker rapid. Our trip ends as we pull ashore back at camp where your guides prepare a tasty barbeque lunch.

    After lunch, there is time to play some beach volleyball and relax by the river. We think it's important to get a real feel of the Gold Country, so we will take to you to a local winery to taste some liquid gold. The tour ends back at your hotel between 6:00 and 6:30 pm.

    Please note:
  • A $10 USD fuel surcharge is included in the rate. Rate does not include gratuity.
  • No prior whitewater experience is necessary, however participants are required weigh at least 80 pounds (37 kilos) and be at least 8 years of age.
  • Child rates available for ages 8-12.
  • Tour may be modified or cancelled due to lack of participation, vehicle breakdowns or weather or road conditions.

    • Booking Information
    Advanced reservations are required. Please call the phone number listed on your voucher to confirm your booking and to provide your pick up location. Please be at your pick up location 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time.

    Additional Information
    ◦ It is your responsibility to ensure you are in correct pick up location at correct time (we ask that you be ready 10 minutes before pick-up time)
    ◦ Duration of tour hours based on approximation
    ◦ Tours are not available Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2009), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years.
    ◦ Tours may include some element of risk. We assume no liability for injuries
    ◦ No smoking in tour vehicles
    ◦ All rates are per person and do not include tour guide gratuity

    Cancellation Policy
    Incredible Adventures is not responsible for any cancellations or modifications of tours due to weather condition, road hazards, vehicle breakdowns, or other unforeseen conditions that may hinder the ability for the tour to take place as scheduled. We reserve the right to cancel or modify any trip due to weather conditions, mechanical breakdowns and circumstances beyond our control. Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. In such cases, we will refund your monies but will not be responsible for any additional expenses you may have incurred.

    In the event that you must cancel your reservation, you may transfer your reservation to a friend or relative at the last moment, just please inform us of the change. Otherwise you will be charged as follows:

    ◦ 20% of total trip price for any confirmed reservation cancelled up to 72 hours prior to tour departure
    ◦ 30% of total trip price for any reservation cancelled between 72 and 24 hours prior to tour departure
    ◦ 100% of total trip price for any reservation cancelled within 24 hours of tour departure and for all No-Shows

    At Incredible Adventures we promote Green, sustainable tourism. We have a fleet of vehicles that we operate on Biodiesel fuel to protect the natural areas we visit. We are the first and only tour company in the United States dedicated to using Biodiesel as the primary source of fuel for our tour vehicles. Help us keep our natural areas clean and green.
