Combine two great attractions at one convenient location. After "feeling the sights" on NY SKYRIDE, experience one of the most breath-taking views of a lifetime on the 86th Floor of the Empire State Building. Above the city's bustling streets, the Observatory offers panoramic views from within a temperature-controlled, glass-enclosed area or from the surrounding open-air promenade.

NY SKYRIDE

NY SKYRIDE is New York’s one and only virtual tour simulator. It is a High Definition IMAX® style adventure tour of New York City narrated by actor Kevin Bacon and located on the second floor of the Empire State Building. The NY SKYRIDE is a simulation tour that takes guests on a tour of New York City. Not only are we a great NYC tourist attraction but an Empire State Building tour is greatly enhanced with our unique New York sightseeing trip. In 12 minutes, through the magic of flight simulation, guests “fly over” over 30 sights New York is famous for without ever leaving the second floor of the ESB. In addition, the experience includes 2 static pre-shows. The first called “I am New York”, a 7 minute perspective of the history of the Empire State Building and “Top 10 Things to do in New York”, a 7 minute presentation on all that New York has to offer visitors.

Location

The NY SKYRIDE is located on the second floor of the Empire State Building. Entrance to the SKYRIDE is from the 33rd Street entrance (not the main 5th Avenue entrance.) Enter the building at 33rd Street and turn left up the escalator.
