This Two Day Great Ocean Road Experience includes a 2day tour and one nights accommodation at a four-star homestead with sweeping views of the coastline.

Day One: As you leave the city center and restored docklands of Melbourne, the stretching suburbs and Port Phillip Bay can be seen from the top of Westgate Bridge. Enter the volcanic western plains of Victoria where European settlers forged there way as far as the Otway Ranges, establishing large sheep properties, and homesteads.

Enjoy morning tea at the Geelong waterfront overlooking Corio Bay. See the port that was the center of trade during the famous gold rush era in the 19th century. The Great Ocean Road begins at Torquay - home to worldwide surfing label companies including Ripcurl and Quicksilver, then visit wild kangaroos who like to mingle with golfers at Anglesea Golf Course.

We soon arrive at Aireys Inlet, with its landmark lighthouse and pristine beaches, Airey's Inlet is a jewel in the Great Ocean Road. This takes us nicely up to lunch in the quaint seaside town of Apollo Bay. From there we continue our journey, travelling the winding Great Ocean Road with views at every turn. Visit a wild koala colony in a forest bordering on the coast. As your first day draws to a close enter the Otways forest for a short walk and some well deserved relaxation.

Stay overnight at a four-star homestead with sweeping views of the coastline. This family owned accommodation gives you serene surroundings from which to enjoy this experience with fresh sea air coming through the windows.

Day Two: This morning a short drive to the Shipwreck Coast will bring tales of the heroes and follies, as many ships have floundered along this wild coastline. View the 12 Apostles ocean rock formations from a coastal boardwalk. Visit the shipwreck site of the "Loch Ard" where two survivors struggled ashore amidst the wreckage. Enter the beach cave where they sheltered and recuperated before alerting nearby settlers. Stop at the fishing village, Port Campbell, before returning to Melbourne through rolling hills and dairy farming country, then across the western plains.

Departs: Daily at 09.00am.
Duration: 2 Days
