Far from the bustle of the city discover the art of living in Provence through the world of the winemakers.

The Thoronet Abbey

Along with its 'sister houses' at Silvacane and Sénanque, The Abbey of Le Thoronet is one of the three wonders of Cistercian architecture in Provence. This abbey was built in the 12th century by the Cistercians at the centre of an immense oak forest. Pride of the Provençal Roman architecture, it has stone and light as its only ornements.

Le Château de Berne

The wine grower's spirit has reigned since 1750 on the domain which produces 65 hectares of the traditional Provence grape varieties. Guided tour and wine tasting. Chateau de Berne's heart beats in time to the rythm of the vine and wines. Traditional and prestigious vintages. Free time for lunch (not included in the price)

Sainte Roseline Chapel

This place of worship is a real work of art, but above all it is a renowned pilgrimage site. Since 1329 it has harboured the venerated saint's body, which is dressed in priestly clothes and laid to rest in a glass case. Many great artists have celebrated the life of Saint Roseline : Marc CHAGALL, with an remarkable mosaic representing the Angel's Meal. Jean BAZAINE and Raoul UBAC, with their flamboyant stained glass. Diego GIACOMETTI, with a relief sculpture and a bronze lectern.

Departure

If staying in Nice (only) there is hotel pick-up by deluxe minibus (air conditioned) - 2 persons minimum and 8 persons maximum. Upon pick-up at your Nice Hotel give your voucher to the driver to begin the tour.

You will have a multilingual Driver Tour Guide - Guided tours are in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish. Japanese and Russian guides are available on request (with supplement).

Access

If you are semi mobile and the wheelchair is collapsible then you can do the tour.  You must be able to get out of the wheelchair & board the minibus and then the wheelchair will be stored in the hold.  You should advise the tour operator of any disability when you call to confirm your tour.
