A thrilling and unique car experience where guests can drive one of the race cars themselves for 8 laps around the one-mile tri-oval. The guest will be completely on their own in the car but their will be a rider in another car out in front of them.
- Class includes classroom introduction, track orientation (guests are taken in a small van around the track) and safety instruction.
- Class lasts approx. 1 ½ to 2 hours.
- Guests must be at least 18 years old to drive and have a valid driver’s license to drive.

What types of cars are used?
NASCAR style stock cars. Body styles used are Dodge Intrepid, Chevy Monte Carlo, Ford Taurus and Pontiac Grand Prix.
What if it rains?
Participants will be given the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date or be issued a credit certificate, valid for one year from the date of issue. Sorry, refunds are not available.
Do I need any prior racing experience?
No experience is required, but you must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a standard transmission to participate in a driving program. For the Riding Experience, guests must be 18 and over to drive.
What is provided and what do I need to bring?
All participants are provided a regulation helmet and neck guard. Participants of the driving programs will also be issued a drivers suit and will need to wear socks, closed-toe shoes and clothes that will be comfortable under a drivers suit.
Is additional insurance required to participate in this experience?
We have been advised by the Walt Disney World Speedway that additional insurance is not required however a disclaimer form does need to be filled in before they begin.
Please remember that Walt Disney World Speedway reserve the right to judge all participants' performance. Anyone who shows up unfit to drive or who engages in an activity they feel to be unsafe or dangerous will be asked to leave and forfeits their right to drive. Refunds will not be issued.
Times
Classes are available every day except Tuesday and Thursday at 8am and 1pm. Certain dates may not be available as the track may be closed due to weather or testing. Guests can call (800) 237-3889 to confirm these dates.

DOES THIS EXPERIENCE NEED TO BE RESERVED IN ADVANCE?
No reservations are required but the guest is advised to call to ensure that the track is not closed on the day they wish to visit.
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR VOUCHER EXCHANGE?
Guests will receive a Keith Prowse voucher that they need to exchange when they arrive at the Speedway. They are not required to call in advance to make a reservation they simply turn up and enjoy the experience. This is relevant for both the Rookie and the Riding Experiences.
