Paris was created some 2000 years ago and began at the City Island (Ile de la Cité.) This tour captures the "Soul of Paris." With emphasis on the history and art of the Capital this tour includes:
  • A drive through the oldest part of the city: the Marais District and its "hotels" (private town-houses of the nobility 3 or 4 centuries ago)
  • The Latin Quarter with the Sorbonne
  • The Luxembourg Gardens
  • Saint-Germain des Prés with its old church and its famous cafés
  • A guided visit to the interior of Notre Dame Cathedral**
  • A short transfer by boat to approach and leave the Cité Island (unless the river is too high)
Before returning to rue des Pyramides, you will admire the geometric design of Vendome Square and the fantasy of the old Opera near the department stores.

**In case of mass and on Sunday, the guide will describe for you the beautiful facade with its 3 portails, but will not be allowed to speak inside the Cathedral.
