Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) is an opera (Commedia) in two acts by Gioachino Rossini, with libretto by Cesare Sterbini. It was composed in between 1815 and 1816 and premiered, as Almaviva, at the Teatro Argentina in Rome on 20 February 1816.
