Due to local authorities unexpectedly restricting access to Gray Line tour vehicles to parts of town during the Democratic National Convention, Gray Line Denver tours have been forced to cancel tours Monday through Thursday, August 25, 2008.
This tour treats you to a behind-the-scenes look at Denver’s sports venues. First stop is the Sports Castle, one of the world’s largest sporting goods stores. You will find everything sports related here, from guns to skis to basketballs to bikes and more.
Coors Field, home to Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies, is next. The 76-acre ballpark treats fans to spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Step into the dugout, see the views from the suite and press levels, walk through the visitor’s clubhouse and more on this tour.
Next, visit the Pepsi Center, one of the nation’s finest sports and entertainment facilities. Since opening in 1999, the Pepsi Center has hosted a wide variety of events including hockey and basketball games, concerts, ice extravaganzas and circuses. Those features include the close proximity of the seats to the field, as well as steel treads and risers that are used to create the same deafening "Rocky Mountain Thunder" that helped define Mile High Stadium.
