Fausts Verdammnis (The Damnation of Faust) is an opera (Légende dramatique) in four parts by Hector Berlioz, with libretto by Gérard de Nerval, Almire Gandonniere and the composer, based on Part 1 of the play Faust by Goethe. It was composed between 1845 and 1846 and premiered at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 6 December 1846.
