What does the Space Pass include?

The Kennedy Space Center is suitable for people of all ages although children over the age of 7 are likely to understand and enjoy the experience more. The Space Pass combines the Maximum Access Pass experience with one of two unique guided tours within the restricted areas of Kennedy Space Center, plus the “Dine with an Astronaut” program.

The main exhibits and attractions include the following:
· LC-39 Observation Gantry – a panoramic view of the space shuttle and rocket launch pads in Kennedy Space Center as well as Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
· Apollo/Saturn V Center – dramatic multi media shows and hands on displays. Relive the historic launch of Apollo 8 and see the real 111 meter Saturn V moon rocket, the most powerful rocket every built.
· IMAX® Theaters – the only back to back twin IMAX® Theaters in the world showing “The Dream is Alive” filmed by shuttle astronauts and “Space Station” (3-D) filmed by 25 astronauts and narrated by Tom Cruise.
· Shuttle Plaza – where you can see the “Explorer” a full-size Space Shuttle orbiter replica
· Rocket Garden – An outdoor garden that features eight authentic rockets form the past. Climb aboard the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsule replicas and get an idea of the cramped quarters and early astronauts lived in.
· Astronaut Encounter – personal stories told by a real live astronaut followed by a question and answer session
· Space Shop – where you can purchase real astronaut food and over 8,000 space related items
· Astronaut Hall of Fame - The Astronaut Hall of Fame, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s newest attraction chronicling the personal side of the NASA story.

The Space Pass is valid for 2 consecutive days.

Guests can use this Pass every day of the year except for Christmas Day and certain launch dates. (These dates can not be predefined due to NASA requirements.)

Opening hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm.

Directions:
From Orlando on State Road 528
Travel east on SR 528 until you reach the SR 407 exit going to Kennedy Space Center and Titusville. Take SR 407 until it dead ends into SR 405. Turn right (east) onto SR 405 and follow the signs for Kennedy Space Center. You will travel approximately 9 miles on SR 405. The KSC Visitor Complex will be on your right.

From Orlando on State Road 50
Travel east on SR 50 until you pass under the I-95 overpass. The next intersection is SR 50 and SR 405. Turn right (east) onto SR 405 and follow the signs for Kennedy Space Center. You will travel approximately 11 miles on SR 405. The KSC Visitor Complex will be on your right.

From North on Interstate 95
Traveling from the north (Daytona Beach), continue along I-95 and take Exit #215 (SR 50). Turn left (east) onto SR 50. The next intersection is SR 50 and SR 405. Turn right (east) on to SR 405 and follow the signs for Kennedy Space Center. You will travel approximately 11 miles on SR 405. The KSC Visitor Complex will be on your right.

From South on Interstate 95
Traveling from the south (Miami), continue along I-95 and take Exit #212 (SR 407). Head east/north on SR 407 until it dead-ends into SR 405. Turn right (east) on SR 405 and follow the signs for Kennedy Space Center. You will travel approximately 9 miles on SR 405. The KSC Visitor Complex will be on your right

Special Needs


The Center is wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs and strollers are free of charge with a valid photo ID. Many of the tour buses are also outfitted to accommodate wheelchairs and in addition a separate van is available for people who require special assistance.
