Hollywood Behind the Scenes Tour

Our world famous Hollywood Behind-the-Scenes Tour visits all the famous (and infamous) landmarks in Hollywood and is a delight for anyone fascinated with Hollywood history, architecture and lore. Although we pride ourselves as Hollywood's most authentic tour we do offer a bit of its legendary gossip as well! If you really want to know Hollywood you must take this tour!

This walking tour will take you on a journey to Hollywood's most famous landmarks including Grauman's Chinese Theatre (home of the famous hand and foot prints), Kodak Theatre (home of the Oscars) and the Walk of Fame!  We will explain how Hollywood got its unusual name and reveal the story behind the Hollywood Sign itself.  We will also vist many other impressive landmarks you may have new about including El Capitan Theatre (Disney's premiere theatre), Grauman's Egyptian Theatre (where the movie premiere was born), and the Roosevelt Hotel (birthplace of the Oscars).

With our unique “live-audio" system, you wear an audio headset receiver that may be carried or worn around the neck, while the tour guide wears a headset microphone transmitter. You hear the tour guide even over the most extreme city noise. The system is also helpful for our hard of hearing guests who can adjust sound levels to their comfort.

Daily Departure Times: 10am, 12noon, 2pm & 4pm seven days a week (except Christmas Day and the day of the Academy Awards).

Duration: 75 to 90 minutes

Child rates are available for ages 9-15. Children under 9 years of age are free with accompanying adult.

Additional Information
  • All sales are final except in the case we cancel a tour for severe weather.
  • Tours are conducted rain or shine, however we will offer a rain check for another date in case of heavy rain.
  • Tours are handicapped accessible. However we are at the effect of the city, its sidewalks, weather and terrain. Some buildings we go into are older and require some maneuvering to get through their ADA access routes. One should note that the pace of our tours cannot be slowed as we are bound to time constraints. If you or a member of your group has a handicap it would be best to speak with a member of the staff before you decide to take the tour.

    Parking Parking is at your own discretion. Underground parking is available in the city garage at Hollywood & Highland Center. Parking is only $2 for the first 4 hours with our validation.

    Hollywood & Highland Metro Station.     As you exit the station we're to the right and just around the corner from the Chinese Theatre.
