A tour representative will pick you up from your hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle, where you will be transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to commence your visit to the site of the Temple of Horus, located in the ancient settlement of Edfou.
Built out of sandstone during the Ptolemaic period, the Temple of Horus is considered by most to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt, and is dedicated to the falcon-headed god, Horus. The town was known as Tbot by the early Egyptians, by the Greeks as Apollinopolis Magna and by Atbo during Coptic times. French and Polish teams have excavated some of the ancient city, finding Old Kingdom mastabas and Byzantine house.
You will be transferred back to your hotel, at the end of the tour.

Times: Please note that the duration of the visit to the temple is around 2 hours, however with transportation from and to the hotel, the duration is approximately from 4 - 5 hours. Pick-up time for Excursion Edfou Temple is 08h:00 only.
