OMG! Tired of trying to sell you car insurance, Iggy's put the Stooges back together. And what's more, they intend to play their seminal 1973 album Raw Power in its entirety. Yay! All is forgiven. It's tickets for Iggy & The Stooges - live at London's HMV Apollo Hammersmith in May 2010...
The Stooges are a rock n roll band which formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States in 1967. They released three studio albums before breaking up in 1974. Despite having little, if no chart or radio success, the band has proved to be one of the most influential rock groups of the past 40 years. The band reunited in 2003 and released another record in 2007. These 2010 gigs reunite The Stooges with guitarist James Williamson for the first time since 1974. Mike Watt, formerly of the Minutemen, has replaced the late Ron Asheton on bass, who sadly passed away in January 2009.
These gigs on 2nd and 3rd May 2010 are part of All Tomorrow's Parties' Don't Look Back season, in which artists are asked to perform classic albums in their entirety.
Support comes from electro-punk pioneers Suicide, performing their first self titled album in its entirety.
