St. Andrews, Fife & Dunfermline Abbeybook now
Passing Carnegie Hall we travel along the Fife coast and the old fishing villages of the East Neuk, passing St Monans and Pittenweem, stopping in Anstruther, an old herring stronghold. Here you may take the opportunity to try the best fish & chips in Scotland, or have a snack at the Fisheries Museum. Afterwards, we will continue to St Andrews, famous as the home of golf, religion and of course, education. Our future King, Prince William studied here in the picturesque medieval setting of the oldest established University in Scotland. We will stop here for about two hours, as you explore this romantic, historic town. In good weather the beach, featured in the movie Chariots of Fire, is particularly popular. You may wish to see the grove of golfing legend Young Tom Morris, visit the golf museum, the links putting course, or just take a stroll along Grannie Clarks Wynd, which crosses the 1st and the 18th fairways of the old course of the famous Old Course - it's still a public right of way! Hotel Pick Up: Gray Line offers a courtesy collection service from many of Edinburgh's Hotels and Guest Houses. TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
