Volcano Tour and Lava Walk

On the Evening Volcano Special you will spend a day exploring nature at its finest. A picturesque ride gives way to the vistas of dormant volcanoes, lava beds, steam vents and craters. Hear legends of Pele, ancient Hawaiian goddess of the volcano, who settled in the crater of Halemaumau at the summit of Kilauea. And, visit the many wonders of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Witness the glow of firey lava during evening viewing at active lava fields. Walk out over this rough terrain and experience the power of mother nature first hand.

Voucher Redemption Information


Your reservation must be confirmed in advance. Please call the phone number on your voucher at least 72 hours in advance to confirm your booking and your pick up location. You can reach a Roberts' representative daily from 7 am - 6 pm HST and 8am - 5pm HST on Holidays. Please present your voucher at time of pick up.

  • Passengers with asthma or other respiratory problems should consider other Roberts Hawaii tours to avoid potential health problems from sulfur gases emitted from volcano.
  • This tour may be fast paced. Guests should be in good health and able to walk without assistance.
  • This tour involves a 30-minute walk over uneven surface with limited daylight conditions. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The lava viewing portion of this tour is not ADA accesible.
  • Routes may be modified or restricted due to advisories by the National Parks, National Weather Service, traffic advisories, road closures and detours, venue hours of operations, etc.
  • Tour features can change daily as we cannot predict weather and lava viewing conditions.
  • We do not guarantee sighting of lava flows. Surface lava flows may be present but may not be visible due to environmental conditions or time constraints.
