She wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show" and, overnight, is transformed from outsider to irrepressible teen celebrity. But can a trendsetter in dance and fashion vanquish the program's reigning princess, win the heart of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a television show without denting her 'do? BIG MUSICAL BIG COMEDY BIG HAIR!

Big hair, big heart, big hit! Don’t miss the ultimate feel-good show, Hairspray, at the Shaftesbury Theatre!

For a very limited period until 31 January 2010, Hairspray stars Never Mind the Buzzcocks comedian Phill Jupitus as you’ve never seen him before, in the role of big, blonde and beautiful Edna Turnblad, and pop legend Belinda Carlisle as the vain villainess Velma Von Tussle. And to top off the starry line up is TV and stage superstar Sharon D Clarke as the fabulous Motormouth Maybelle. On 2 February, Brian Conley returns to his role in the show as Tracy’s voluptuous mother.

Follow Tracy Turnblad as she sets out to dance her way onto TV’s most popular dance show. Can this ordinary girl realize her extraordinary dreams, inspire her mum and still have time to win the boy she loves?
