Pamela Anderson at the New Wimbledon Theatre

Pamela Anderson is to make her pantomime debut this Christmas in a production of Aladdin. Pamela Anderson is joining Aladdin at London's New Wimbledon Theatre for two weeks from December 13. The actress, best known for her role in Baywatch, will be playing the Genie of the Lamp.

Comedian and chat show host Paul O'Grady will then bring a whole new take to the same role in the New Year, making his first appearance in a pantomime since 2005.

The theatre believes it to be a first in Panto history that the role of the Genie of the Lamp will be played by celebrity guest stars.

They will be supported by a core cast which is headed by renowned actor, author and adventurer Brian Blessed, who will be doing all he can to stop their magical intentions by playing the evil Abanazar – the ultimate villain determined to outsmart our hero. Paul O’Grady said: “I am really excited to be back in a panto this year, having not done one for some time.

With more exciting casting announcements to come, New Wimbledon Theatre’s reputation as the Home of London Pantomime is guaranteed with the perfect mix of glittering cast, spectacular set designs, colourful costumes and the finest festive entertainment this Christmas.
