Giovanni Boccaccio has caused a commotion in Florence with his erotic tales. The menfolk would like to have him locked up, for his stories have portrayed their wives as unfaithful. The women, however, show a passionate interest in Boccaccio, whos only too eager to take advantage of the situation. What ensues is a hilarious romp with a host of disguises − a comedy full of wit, erotic and joie de vivre.
Entrancing melodies like Florence Has Beautiful Women, If I Only Have Your Love or the riotous coopers choir give this amusing operetta by Franz von Supp its unique charm.
