CHER returns to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace

Due to overwhelming demand, Spring 2010 performances of Cher at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace are on sale for 24 performances from 10-25 April and 8-30 May 2010.

In addition to more performances, the pop icon will return to The Colosseum stage on 19 November 2009 with a newly added opening sequence and even more glitzy Bob Mackie costumes. Celebrating old-time Hollywood glamour and style, these new additions feature dazzling theatrics that pay tribute to the grace and timelessness of the 1940’s and 1950’s. “We are so excited to return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and have made wonderful, new changes to the show, including a number choreographed by my dear friend Tyce Diorio from So You Think You Can Dance,” said Doriana Sanchez, director and choreographer of Cher at The Colosseum. “It pays homage to the great movie musicals, complete with incredible costumes by Bob Mackie. We are thrilled to be able to present some really fun and new things for the audiences to see.”

Cher returns to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace November 19 – December 20, 2009. The 90-minute show is presented at 7:30 p.m. four nights a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday (dark Monday, Thursday and Friday).

In May 2008, Cher debuted her newest show, bringing her flamboyant spirit, legendary talent and ingenious creativity to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

The extraordinary production, aptly titled Cher, is a high-energy, concert-style show that features the artist's record-breaking hits, including "If I Could Turn Back Time," "Believe" and "Strong Enough." With her infamous rock-and-roll attitude and theatrical affinity, the show treats guests to an intimate look back through Cher’s iconic career, with vintage footage of rarely-seen "Sonny and Cher" clips and a marvelous stage that alters its scenery for every song and mood.

Cher has called this dazzling production “… me … but bigger. It takes some of my favorite elements from my touring shows and kicks them up a notch." Exclusively designed exclusively for the 4,300-seat Colosseum, Cher brough together an amazing roster of talent including director/choreographer Doriana Sanchez. Ms Sanchez brought Cher’s vision to life with 18 dancers and aerialists and state-of-the-art video and special effects. And, not surprisingly to Cher’s fans around the world, the breathtaking, signature costumes for the show were designed by world-renowned fashion icon and longtime Cher collaborator, Bob Mackie.

Cher performs approximately 100 shows throughout the year at the 4,300-seat theatre at Caesars Palace.
